Abstract State nature zoological reserve "Sredne-Labinsky" has a biological (zoological) profile and is intended for the preservation, restoration, reproduction of economically, scientifically and aesthetically valuable wild fauna species, classified as game, as well as rare and endangered wild fauna species included in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the Red Book of the Krasnodar Territory, and the preservation of their habitat. The reserve is formed for an unlimited period of time and without expropriation of land plots from tenants, owners and managers of land plots. The objectives of the reserve are the conservation, restoration, reproduction of valuable wild fauna species, classified as game, as well as rare and endangered wild fauna species, conservation of their habitat, migration routes, wintering places, preservation, restoration and reproduction of rare and endangered plants, fungi and lichens included in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the Red Book of Krasnodar Territory, maintaining the ecological balance of the territory. The following tasks are set for the reserve: (a) conservation and reproduction of wild fauna species; (b) preservation of the habitat of wild fauna species as a necessary condition for their existence and reproduction; (c) maintaining the necessary ecological balance and stability of the functioning of ecosystems; (d) carrying out biotechnical measures to create favorable conditions for the habitation of protected wild fauna species; (e) systematic conduct of state registration of the number of wild fauna species, including game; (f) organization and implementation of scientific research work, taking into account the special protection regime of the territory of the reserve; (g) environmental monitoring; and (h) environmental education. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of the reserve: (a) all types of hunting and destruction or damage of reproductive and protective areas (nests, hollows, burrows and other habitats and shelters) of wild fauna species; (b) stay with firearms, hunting gear and unleashed dogs; (c) use of rare and endangered wild fauna and wild flora species; (d) collection of wild growing plants, collection of botanical, zoological and mineralogical collections; (e) introduction of alien species; (f) clear cutting; (g) thinning of the soil-protective undergrowth layer; (g) cutting down during sanitary felling of hollow and faut trees; (h) carrying out thinning and sanitary felling during the brood-nesting period; (i) aviation pest and disease control measures; (j) burning of vegetation; (k) change of hydrological regime of waterbodies; (l) use of effluent waste water as fertilizer; (m) pollution of surface water and groundwater by untreated waste water; (n) exploration and mining; (o) allotment of land plots for gardening and horticulture; (p) destruction or damage of barriers, notices, stands and other information signs; (q) plowing land without the consent of the authorized body; and (r) haymaking, pastoralism and grazing of livestock.
