Abstract This Regional Decree amends Regional Decree No. 14/90/M creating the Special Protected Area of 'Ilhas Desertas'. Amendments concern: restrictions to be applied for fishing activity (including sport fishing) within this archipelago, geographical limits, and requirements to be met in order to obtain a fishing permit. The aforementioned special protected area is now classified as 'Wildlife Reserve' and administratively integrated within the Natural Park of Madeira.
