The aforesaid nature reserve shall perform the following functions: (a) conservation of historical and natural landscapes and complexes; (b) conservation and reproduction of wild fauna and wild flora species; (c) rational management of recreational resources; (d) scientific research; (e) keeping and maintaining ecological balance; and (f) ecological education. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of regional nature reserve “Setun river valley”: (a) modification of historically formed protected natural landscape; (b) damage of natural habitats of endangered animal and plant species; (c) soil pollution; (c) waste disposal; (d) damage or unauthorized felling; (e) burning of dry vegetation; (f) felling in the period of egg laying and brood time of waterfowl from 1 April to 31 July; and (g) stay with pneumatic arms or any other hunting gear, including sling and butterfly nets.
