Abstract This Regional Decree establishes that state nature reserve “Gromovsky” shall be considered protected area of regional significance. It shall be located in Kaliningrad region. State nature reserve “Gromovsky” shall perform the following tasks: (a) protection of natural ecosystems with a view of conservation of biological diversity, wild fauna and wild flora species and keeping protected area in its natural state; (b) scientific research aimed at study of wild fauna species and their natural habitats; and (c) reproduction of precious wild fauna species. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of state nature reserve “Gromovsky”: (a) mining, extraction of minerals and explosive works; (b) waste disposal; (c) any activity causing modification of hydrogeological regime; and (d) hunting and collection of non-timber forest products.
