Abstract

Protected area of regional significance state nature reserve “Igodovsky” is constituted with a view of conservation of lacustrine-glacial swampy basins, which has a runoff-forming value for the Mera River, conservation of waterfowl and semi-aquatic avifauna, maintenance of biological diversity. It performs the following tasks: (a) conservation of marsh and lake ecosystems, which are the zone of formation of the runoff of the Mera River; (b) preservation of the most valuable habitats of waterfowl and semiaquatic birds; and (c) protection of rare and endangered species of plants and animals. Protected area of regional significance state nature reserve “Igodovsky” is classified as complex (landscape). It is constituted without land expropriation and without modification of land category. The following activities are prohibited on the territory of protected area: (a) clear felling except for clear sanitary felling; (b) destruction (including felling) of oak, larch, juniper (tree-like form), black alder, linden, fir, maple, elm, hazel, as well as their undergrowth or actions that may lead to their destruction; (c) removal of hollow trees suitable for use by animals and birds; (d) construction of industrial facilities, buildings, residential buildings, paved roads, linear objects, construction of structures not related to the functioning of the reserve; (e) placement of country and garden plots, plowing land for agricultural needs; (f) organization of tourist camps, bivouacs, making fires outside specially designated places; (g) ruin of nests, clutches, holes; (h) types of activities that can lead to pollution of territories and water areas; (i) placement of warehouses for pesticides, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants; (j) introduction of alien wild fauna and wild flora species; (k) traffic off roads and established traffic routes, with the exception of vehicles for special purpose, as well as parking of vehicles outside specially designated places; (l) moving around the territory of the reserve using caterpillar vehicles (with the exception of measures related to ensuring the regime of protection of the reserve, conducting forestry, reforestation and forest protection works); (m) vehicle washing; (n) mining, including peat extraction; (o) tapping of trees; (p) industrial harvesting of medicinal raw materials, moss, reeds, forest litter, bark, other technical raw materials; (q) use of herbicides on adjacent arable land; and (r) commercial fishing.
