Abstract

Regional Red Book is an official document containing a collection of information about rare and endangered species (subspecies, populations) of wild animals and wild plants and fungi that live (grow) in the regional territory, as well as the necessary measures for their protection and restoration. Regional Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology shall be responsible institution for keeping regional Red Book. Scientific support for maintaining regional Red Book shall be performed by organizations appointed by the Ministry from among research organizations and higher educational institutions that conduct activities to study and develop measures for the protection of flora and fauna. Keeping regional Red Book: (a) collection and analysis of data on flora and fauna species; (b) organization of monitoring of the state of flora and fauna species; (c) creation and replenishment of databases on flora and fauna species; (d) entry (registration) in accordance with the established procedure in the regional Red Book of wild fauna and wild flora species; (e) preparation for publication, publication and distribution of the regional Red Book; and (f) preparation and implementation of proposals for special protection measures, including the organization of protected natural areas and genetic banks, in order to preserve the objects of flora and fauna listed in the regional Red Book.
