Abstract This Regional Decree regulates the issues of the functioning, protection and management of state nature reserve “Sumarokovsky”. The purpose of creating the reserve "Sumarokovsky" is to preserve the natural environment and optimal ecological state of the territory in order to maintain vital activity of moose herds of the Sumarokovsky moose farm, conservation of habitat and migration routes of wild fauna species, environmental education of the population through the development of controlled educational tourism. Regional state nature reserve “Sumarokovsky” shall perform the following tasks: (a) conservation of habitats and migration routes of wild animals and birds; (b) conducting scientific research; (c) implementation of environmental monitoring; and (d) environmental education.
