This Regional Decree enters into force on the day after its publication.
Abstract

This Regional Decree establishes protecting measures to be applied within the Azorian island of 'São Jorge'. It consists of 5 chapters establishing these measures in order to protect island biodiversity within the coastal area and 250 m of altitude. It is divided as follows: Definition and objectives (chap. 1); protecting measures and land management (chap. 2); Areas to be protected (chap. 3); Controls and fines (chap. 4); Final provisions (chap. 5).
