Abstract Protected area of regional significance tourism and recreational area “Park “Berendeevka”” is constituted without expropriation of land plots with a view of conservation of biocenosis, represented by birch-pine communities, as well as regenerating broad-leaved trees in complex with ponds, meadow areas unique for a residential area of urban type, having high potential for recreational use. Protected area of regional significance tourism and recreational area “Park “Berendeevka”” performs the following tasks: (a) conservation of artificial birch-pine communities in conjunction with meadow communities of natural origin; (b) restoration and maintenance of surface water bodies (ponds) in an optimal state; (c) conservation of biodiversity present on the territory; and (d) conservation and development of the territory for recreational use. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of protected area of regional significance tourism and recreational area “Park “Berendeevka””: (a) burial of industrial and domestic waste; (b) plowing of land and allotment thereof for collective and individual gardening and horticulture; (c) any type of construction; (d) grazing; and (e) travel and parking of vehicles in places not designated for these purposes.
