Abstract State nature reserve of regional significance “More-Yu” is a territory of particular importance for the preservation and restoration of natural complexes and their components. The reserve was established with the aim of preserving and studying the wild flora and fauna of the Bolshezemelskaya tundra, including the relict spruce woodlands and archaeological sites. The reserve was formed without expropriation of land from tenants, owners and managers of land. Possessors, owners and tenants of land plots located within the boundaries of the reserve are obliged to comply with the regime established in the reserve and bear administrative, criminal and other liability for its violation. Activities on the territory of the reserve are prohibited if they contradict the goals of its creation or cause harm to natural complexes and their components, including: (a) allotment of land plots for construction, except for the cases provided for by this Regulation; (b) construction of buildings and structures, roads and pipelines and other communications, except for the cases provided for by this Regulation; (c) blasting operations; (d) application and storage of pesticides, mineral fertilizers; and (e) geological exploration and development of minerals. On the territory of the reserve, by agreement with the regional Committee on Ecology shall be authorized the following activities: (a) collection of zoological, botanical and mineralogical collections, as well as paleontological objects; (b) organized recreational and tourism activities; (c) placement of economic and production facilities of the reserve; and (d) scientific research, including environmental monitoring. The following activities are authorized on the territory of the reserve: (a) recreational and sport fishing in accordance with the fishing rules; (b) recreational and sport hunting in accordance with the hunting rules; (c) traditional use of natural resources by a representative of the indigenous peoples of the North; and (d) grazing of domesticated reindeer in accordance with the project for the organization of reindeer pastures.
