Abstract

This Regional Decree sets forth rules for artisanal and sport fishing by natural persons, including foreign citizens, on the regional territory for individual personal consumption. It establishes that common use waterbodies shall be used for artisanal and sport fishing for fee or free of charge without authorization or permit, fishfarming enterprises can be used for artisanal and sport fishing free of charge or for fee in accordance with fishing authorization or fishing permit. Artisanal fishing shall be prohibited in protected fishing areas, aquaculture areas used for reproduction of precious marketable fish species. It establishes daily allowable catch of listed species while daily allowable catch of other non-listed fish species shall be unlimited. Underwater fishing shall be authorized without aqualung and other self-contained underwater breathing apparatus.
