Abstract

This Regional Decree establishes that artisanal and sport fishing shall be authorized in regional waterbodies destined for such purpose on condition that fisherman must be in possession of personal identification document and fishing authorization issued by fishing inspection. Underwater hunting (spearfishing) shall be classified as a form of artisanal fishing and shall be authorized without the use of self contained breathing apparatus in the authorized fishing areas. This Regional Decree shall be applicable either to marine fisheries or to inland fisheries. Total allowable daily catch per fisherman of precious fish species shall be 7.5 kg, codfish, pike and roach – 15 kg, perch, burbot and ruff – unlimited quantity. Small-populated indigenous people and communities thereof shall have priority right to fishing in the area of their traditional living.
