It shall perform the following functions: (a) protection of Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus); (b) maintenance of ecological balance and stable functioning of ecosystem; (c) conservation of nesting grounds of Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus); and (d) state monitoring of wild fauna species. The following activities shall be prohibited: (a) hunting and fisheries; (b) disturbance of Dalmatian pelican (Pelecanus crispus) during nesting period from 1 May to 15 August; and (c) collection of zoological and botanical objects.
