This Regional Decree shall enter into force 15 days after publication.
Abstract

This Regional Decree creates the Natural Reserve of 'Sítio da Rocha do Navio' within the archipelago of Madeira in order to preserve natural ecosystem and in particular to protect monk seal (Monachus monachus). It consists of 4 chapters establishing the legal regime governing the aforementioned protected area, whose Regulation is divided as follows: General provisions (Chap. 1); Conditions for use and access, including sanctions to be paid for unauthorized activity (2); Prevention and control (3); Final provisions (4). This Regional Decree allows commercial and sport fishing activities, limpet collection and underwater fishing.
