Land, forest and water plots with all resources within their boundaries of wild flora and fauna within the protected zone of the national park "Orlovskoe polesie" shall not be subject to privatization. In the protection zone shall be authorized economic activities that do not cause damage to natural resources of the national park and do not lead to disruption of their natural states. Protection zone shall perform the following tasks: (a) mitigation of the negative impact of economic activities outside the territory of the national park on its natural complexes and species; (b) reduction of fire hazard in the territory adjacent to the park; and (c) improving the conditions for the existence of rare and particularly valuable species of animals and plants in the park by reducing the anthropogenic impact on the areas of their habitat. The following activities shall be prohibited in the protection zone: (a) drainage and land reclamation; (b) mining; (c) resin tapping; (d) hunting, running and training of dogs; (e) industrial procurement of wild plants, medicinal and technical raw materials; (f) cattle grazing and bush felling in the coastal strips of waterbodies; (g) making fires outside specially designated places; (h) clean burn of grass; and (i) littering of the territory.
