Moreover, these provisions determine the functions which are exclusively entrusted to the Region and those functions which may be delegated to the Communes. In particular, the Region shall exercise, in accordance with the Navigation Code, the following powers and duties: (1) programming, planning and adoption of general directives; (2) collection and arrangement of data, information and graphics relating to the use of the maritime domain; (3) undertaking of measures to safeguard the environment. The administrative functions relative to the granting and the renewal of the maritime domain concessions shall pertain to the Communes (art. 3). Article 4 refers to the Regional Plan on the Use of the Maritime Domain Areas, to be approved by the Region in compliance with the general directives contained in Annex A. Article 6 concerns the regional fee to be paid to obtain the concession. Article 12 regards the inspections to be carried out by the competent Communes.
