Abstract

For the purposes of this Law, the Abruzzo Region prohibits the cultivation of genetically modified organisms on public protected lands and in the EU protected regional lands. In addition, industries using GMOs are not eligible to the regional financial support. In accordance with the EU procedures, the use of GMOs must be indicated in the packages and labels. Pursuant to article 9, a Commission will control the application of these provisions. (10 articles).
