The Liguria Region promotes studies and research concerning minor fauna. The species covered by these protective measures include ants (art. 3), snails (art. 4), crustaceans, amphibians and reptiles (art. 5). The gathering of such species is prohibited, with the exception of authorizations granted for scientific and educational purposes (art. 6). Article 8 concerns the keeping of live animals belonging to the above-mentioned species. Article 11 lays down administrative sanctions.
