Article 2 establishes the Regional Commission for Apiculture, which shall formulate advices and proposals to be transmitted to the Region. Sanitary supervision on apiculture is entrusted to the Veterinary Services of the local health authorities (art. 4). Holders of bee hives must inform immediately the competent local health authority in case any of the diseases listed out in article 6 is found or suspected. Experimentation with live bees by using infecting or pathogenic material is prohibited, unless a special authorization has been granted by the competent local health authority (art. 8). Marketing of bees may take place only if they are accompanied by the sanitary certificate referred to in article 9. Article 12 concerns the recognition of bee keepers' associations. For the achievement of the purposes specified by article 1, the Region shall grant subsidies to bee keepers to purchase bee families, equipment, sanitary material and for the construction and restructuring of premises (art. 3).
