Abstract

This Regional Act aims at the preservation of local genetic resources and quality agricultural products, by ensuring at the same time the protection of the environment and human health. A regional plan shall define the methods to be applied in order to protect local agricultural production, particularly by defining good agricultural practices. The cultivation of genetically modified plants is prohibited (art. 4). Penalties are laid down by article 6.
