Abstract This Regional Act, which aims at the prevention of air pollution and noise pollution, lays down provisions to be complied with at the time of drafting and approving the regional plans for preventing air pollution. These plans shall be adopted by the Regional Council, upon proposal from the Regional Committee against Atmospheric Pollution established in accordance with article 7. The President of the Regional Council and the Mayors are empowered to adopt ordinances in case of emergency, as set out in article 5.
