The Act establishes the Register of wells and water sources in order to collect and manage the administrative and technical data on groundwater. The Register will also contain licences and concessions for groundwater exploration activities. Further the Act provides for groundwater for drinking purposes, domestic uses and other uses. Under Article 7 are set provisions for research and groundwater extraction activities and for the issuing of concessions. Under Article 12 the Act provides for the establishment of a plan for the protection of water for human consumption. (16 Articles).
