Abstract

The object of the Act is the protection of certain fauna species (those listed out in article 3), giving particular regard to species threatened with extinction. The protective measures cover amphibians, reptiles, snails and crayfishes. Article 3 prohibits the (i) capture, keeping and killing, (ii) deterioration of rest and reproduction sites, (iii) destruction and gathering of eggs, as well as (iv) the keeping, transport and marketing of the species hereby protected. The administrative sanctions laid down in article 6 shall be applied in case of infringement.
