The park has been classified as special protection zone pursuant to Directive 79/409/EEC and site of Community importance according to Directive 92/43/EEC. The managing entity shall carry out the tasks and perform the duties specified under article 4. The protection of the park shall involve the elaboration and implementation of a territorial management plan, as described by article 10. The plan shall prohibit those activities which are likely to endanger the preservation of the environment, such as hunting, collection of flora and plant species, introduction of alien fauna and flora species.
