Abstract This document sets out plans for managing and improving flood and coastal erosion defences over the 2015-2021 period. Its overall aim is to reduce the risks of flooding and coastal erosion, and in doing so to support economic recovery and growth, build a fairer society, and improve the environment. This investment programme is built up of projects developed and promoted by local authorities, internal drainage boards and Environment Agency area teams, in liaison with communities and with the agreement of Regional Flood and Coastal Committees (RFCCs).
