Abstract

It is hereby recommended to States falling within the European Economic Area (EEA) to carry out inspections and controls including, where indicated, taking samples and analysing such samples in laboratories, with the aim of (i) monitoring that olive oils are clearly and correctly labelled according with EEA rules, and (ii) assessing the safety of certain fishery products, particularly as regards bacteriological safety of cooked crustaceans and molluscan shellfish.
