Abstract

This Recommendation of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), requires the autonomous system referred to in paragraph 1(a) of the Recommendation by ICCAT Concerning Minimum Standards for the Establishment of a Vessel Monitoring System in the ICCAT Convention Area (Rec. 03-14) to be in conformity with the specifications and schedule set out in Annex 1. it also places obligations on CPCs (Fishing Monitoring Centres) to transmit electronically messages as specified. CPCs engaged in inspection at sea operations in the Convention area shall request the ICCAT Secretariat to make available the messages received.
