A pilot may also be freely requested by a vessel. A vessel mat notify the Ports Authority of its estimated time of arrival (ETA). The harbourmaster may, from time to time, issue guidelines, not inconsistent with the Act or these regulations, to make sure that pilotage-(a) complies with international standards: (b) reflects other applicable standards or requirements.
