Abstract

These Regulations, made under the Radiation Protection Act provides rules for the use of sources of radiation and concerns protection from radiation. They specify dose equivalent limits (exposure to radiation received over a period of one year) and the annual limit of intake of radionuclides for radiation workers. Planned special (emergency) exposure referred to in recommendations of the International Commission of Radiological Protection shall not be permitted under these Regulations. Dose equivalent received by radiation workers shall be assessed through personal monitoring.
