Abstract

The present Regulations are made under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the protection of people and the environment from harmful effects of ionizing radiation. The text – consisting of 24 sections – deals with the following aspects: general obligations of owners and users, installation of radiation equipment, maintenance of radiation equipment, prohibited radiation equipment, radiation exposure and dose limits, notice of incidents, losses, overexposures, code of practice.
