Abstract This Order, consisting of 44 sections divided into ten Parts, completed by one Schedule, and under the article 83(3) of the Constitution, aims at controlling and regulating the import, export, manufacture, sale, disposal, transport, storage, possession, and use of radioactive waste materials and controlled apparatus, providing for the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, and establishing a system for the imposition and maintenance of nuclear safeguards. Part 2 establishes the competent Administration of Order and appointment of authorised officers. Part 3 establishes Control of import, export etc. of radioactive materials and controlled apparatus, specifying that: no person shall, except under and in accordance with a licence: a) import into, or export out of, Brunei Darussalam any radioactive material; b) keep, have in his possession or under his control, or use any radioactive material; c) manufacture, sell or otherwise deal in any radioactive material; or d) transport any radioactive material.
