Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister under section 24 of the Radiation Protection Act, provide that the Conventions listed in the Schedule shall have the force of law in Mauritius, any other enactment notwithstanding. The listed Conventions are: the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and on the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management, the Vienna Convention on Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage and the Convention on Supplementary Compensation for Nuclear Damage.
