The present Act enters into force on 19 June 1985.
Abstract

The present Act provides for the protection of the environment and in particular for the control of sources of ionizing radiation. The text - consisting of 23 sections – deals with the following matters: ionizing radiation, non-ionizing radiation, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and general matters, such as codes of practices, Radiation Health and Safety Committee and power to issue Regulations.
