They prescribe rules for the keeping of cats and dogs in a rabies control area and provide for compulsory inoculation of dogs. A dog that is suspected to have come into contact with an animal affected by rabies shall be destroyed or kept under observation at a specified place for at least six months. Every dog which is in an area declared to be a compulsory rabies inoculation area shall be inoculated in accordance with these Regulations.
