In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to royalties reserved for the Yukon government as owner of the mineral rights, for permitting extraction of mineral resources. The royalty is paid by a mine operator to the Yukon government. Moreover, the Regulation provides for the mechanism for determining the royalty due on a mine in commercial production.
