Abstract

This Chapter authorizes the Director of Agriculture to promulgate necessary Rules concerning the quarantine of agricultural products, livestock, poultry, or domestic pets entering American Samoa, for the purpose of preventing entry of injurious insects or diseases. The Director or his or her representative shall also be authorized to conduct inspections and examinations, as necessary, of all persons, vessels and aircraft entering American Samoa from any port outside the Territory and may confiscate and destroy illegally imported items. Violation of Rules adopted by the Director is declared to be an offence. (4 sections)
