Abstract

The present Ordinance enforces the Berlin Water Law in its version of 3 March 1989. The purpose of the Ordinance is to introduce the Council Directive 76/464/EEC on pollution caused by certain dangerous substances discharged into the aquatic environment of the Community of 4 May 1976 into German legislation. The text consists of 5 articles as follows: Purpose, sphere of applicatino (1); Establishing quality targest (2); Programme for the purpose of reducing pollution caused by certain substances (3); Special authorizatin for substances listed in the Annex (4); Entry into force (5).
