Abstract These Regulations are framed pursuant to section 36 read with section 12 of the Punjab Water Resources (Management and Regulation) Act, 2020 for establishment and functioning of the Punjab State Advisory Committee on Water Resources (Committee). The Regulations provide for the composition and objects of the Committee. The Secretary of the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority shall be the Secretary to the Committee. Further, the Regulations make provisions relating to the proceedings of the Committee, including convening of meetings, frequency and location of the meetings, quorum at the meetings etc. A member of the Committee may, by written communication, resign as a member and it shall come into effect from the day the Government accepts the same. An expert member who fails to attend three consecutive meetings of the Committee shall forthwith cease to be a member of the Committee.
