Abstract

These Regulations cover all public water supply systems in Northwest Territories and provide for their design, realization and inspection in order to prevent public health hazards. The Regulations define the water quality bacteriological and chemical characteristics for water sources, provide for water treatment, chlorination and fluoridation. They set requirements for pumping stations, reservoirs and distribution systems and for related record keeping.
