Abstract

This Act repeals and replaces article 5 of the Solid Waste Management and Litter Control so as to provide anew for fees to be imposed on the disposal of specified goods. These so-called recycling fees are imposed pursuant to the Solid Waste Management Plan which was approved under the Act. Article 5 also creates the Recycling Revolving Fund which shall benefit from the recycling charge. The Director of Public Works shall be responsible for the collection of fees and recycling processes.
