Abstract

The Ordinance makes provision for the protection of public health by regulating sewerage and drainage of waste water. The Governor-in-Council may, by Order, declare any area of the Colony to be a sewerage area for the purposes of this Ordinance (sect. 3). The Governor may also appoint a Sewerage Authority for that area (sect. 4). The 31 sections are divided into 5 Parts, i.e.: Preliminary (I); General Matters Concerning the Provision of Drains (II); Plans, Execution and Testing of Drains (III); Sewers and Lateral Drains (IV); General (V).
