They also concern operation and maintenance of sewage systems and define functions and powers of the Board. For the purposes of these regulations, appointments of sanitary inspectors can be made under section 18 of the Ministry of Health Act 2013. The Ministry has authority to maintain information relating to any sewage system inspected under these regulations on a database, and has authority to develop a Land Information Memorandum (Drainage) and any other record for any such system.
