Abstract

These Regulations, composed of nine sections and two Annexes, make provisions and establish procedures for the regulation of nutritional values in the labelling of food in Israel. Section 1 gives definitions. Section 2 prohibits the production, importation and placing in the market of pre-packed food unless nutritionally labelled as listed in these Regulations. Sections 3-5 regard specific nutritional labelling indications. Section 6 deals with caloric values for labelling purposes on food products. Section 7 establishes labelling values for 100 gr. of food product. Section 8 provides with inspection and testing procedures. Sections 8 and 9 give general information.
