Abstract

This Ordinance concerns various matters regarding public health on the island of Ascension and especially food quality and hygiene. Provisions regarding food concern, among other things: seizure of food unwholesome or unfit for human food, The Ordinance also unwholesome or unfit for human food empowers the Governor to prohibit the landing or importation into Ascension of anything the importation of which he may have reason to believe would be likely to introduce disease into Ascension and to make Regulations for specified matters.
