It established the Health Protection Board. The Ordinance, in particular, lays down rules for hygienic conditions in backeries. The Senior Medical Office or any Medical Officer may inspect any animal or food item which he or she has reason to believe is intended for sale for human food, or to be used as human food and may seize food which is unwholesome or unfit for human consumption.
