The Act defines and provides rules for "offensive trades", i.e. activities that form part of any trade, business, manufacture, or undertaking that carries inherent risks to health. Offensive trades include fish breeding and processing, slaughtering of animals, pig or poultry farming and waste collection, treatment, or disposal. No person shall carry out an offensive trade unless: specifically authorized to do so in a place by an offensive trade permit; in accordance with applicable conditions on the permit.
