The Regulations, among other things; prohibit the carrying out of a food business on at insanitary premises or place; require articles or equipment coming into contact with food to be clean; requires a person who engages in the handling of food to take all such steps as may be reasonably necessary to protect the food from risk of contamination; specify requirements for food premises; require a supply of water at all food premises sufficient in quantity to enable these Regulations to be complied with; prescribe standards for such water; contain rules for the storage of food; specify exemption of premises from certain requirements; define offences and prescribe penalties for such offences.
