These Provisions enter into force on 1 July 2011.
Abstract

These Provisions aim to standardize the trial of cases by the people’s courts involving dispute over oil pollution induced by persistent oil carried by tankers, non-persistent fuels carried by tankers, or fuels carried by non-tankers, to the sea areas on the territory and exclusive economic zones of the People’s Republic of China, or cases involving dispute over other vessel-induced oil pollutions. The Provisions also cover compensation for vessel-induced oil pollution damage.
