Of particular interest are article 21a on the enforcement of Directive 2003/33/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 2003 on the approximation of the laws, regulations and administrative provisions of the Member States relating to the advertising and sponsorship of tobacco products, and article 22 laying down provisions relating to a ban on advertising of cigarettes. The text, consisting of 61 articles, deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: tobacco products, objects of daily use, consumers, ban on radiation, plant protection products and others substances, labelling, protection against fraud and adulteration, ban on use, protection of health, admission of exceptions, competences concerning inspection, implementation of survey measures, sampling, costs and fees and penalties.
