Abstract

Underwater hunting is a kind of artisanal and sport fishing in the process of which underwater hunter performs search and catch of fishes with the use of special gear acting autonomously and relying on proper physical strength. Underwater hunting shall be carried out in accordance with Regulation on artisanal and sport fishing in the internal water bodies of the Ukraine currently in force (1990). The Regulation consists of 4 Sections. Section 1 lays down general provisions. Section 2 establishes the duties of underwater hunters. Section 3 establishes the rights of underwater hunters. Section 4 imposes bans and restrictions on underwater hunters.
